We are saying a massive thank you to Liverpool people who voted for us in their local Tesco. Liverpool Lighthouse was up to win a community grant from Tesco of up to £1500.
But amazingly, Tesco were giving away £10,000 grants to mark £100 million in Community Grants being given to more than 50,000 good causes since they were launched in 2016.
The shopper who drew the gold token in the lucky dip on October 15th was able to chose which of the 3 causes to give it to and they chose Liverpool Lighthouse.
Thanks to Tesco and that mystery shopper, Liverpool Lighthouse will have £10,000 to put towards our community food programme to help people struggling with the cost-of-living crisis this winter.
