The LFC supporters' group Red Neighbours have helped out by donating a signed James Milner shirt that, with your help, we were able to auction off to raise funds for the Community Pantry. The pantry helps tackle food poverty and holiday hunger for local people in Anfield, as well as teach cooking skills. The funds raised will be a huge help for struggling local families, providing fresh food and cupboard staples for a small weekly subscription fee. We also provide free sanitary products to tackle period poverty!
We're incredibly grateful to the two donors who won the auction, the first kindly turned his winning bid into a donation and allowed us to re-auction the shirt. We're so grateful for the amazing support of Red Neighbours, both of these donors and others like them who make it possible for us to support those most in need. If you want to make a donation to the pantry like our generous shirt buyers, contact Sammy on sammy.richardson@liverpoollighthouse.com.
If you are finding it hard to make ends meet and would benefit from some food support and live in L4, L5 or L6 you are eligible to join the pantry. It's not means tested and no vouchers are needed, you just need to register with us by emailing Laura at laura.slatem@liverpoollighthouse.com or calling us on 0151 459 7670.
The pantry is open every Wednesday and Thursday from 12:00 - 3pm.
