Liverpool Lighthouse will be receiving substantial Culture Recovery Funding from the Arts Council

Liverpool Lighthouse will be receiving substantial Culture Recovery Funding from the Arts Council following a successful application. These funds will enable Liverpool Lighthouse to partially reopen with safety measures in place and retain key staff for the venue.

This Culture Recovery Fund will also enable us to subsidize artist fees, purchase equipment to facilitate us to stream shows online and most importantly work with artists, freelancers and others within the industry  to once again bring entertainment to our auditorium and art back to the forefront of our community.

Sarah Jones, Venue Manager at Liverpool Lighthouse has said:

“With safety measures in place and a capacity of under 130 (with our usual capacity being 430), this Culture Recover Fund enables us to bring our new creative ideas for the venue to life. Everyone is eager for live events, it’s something that not only entertains but connects people and significantly helps with mental wellbeing. This Culture Recovery Fund will enable us to bring our entertainment to the community once more, both to small scale audiences within the theatre and online, meaning we can now be accessible to all. We’re eager to get stuck in and bring artists back to our stage and put smiles on faces”.
