Liverpool Lighthouse hosts the Anfield Community Jubilee Celebration

On Thursday 2nd of June, Liverpool Lighthouse were proud to host the Anfield Community Jubilee Celebrations in partnership with Culture Liverpool and funded by Culture Liverpool and the Arts Council Jubilee Fund.

Over 1000 local people came to Liverpool Lighthouse for an incredible day packed with activities and performances from local groups and artists, including a number of artists supported by Liverpool Lighthouse, including Ni Maxime and the Lighthouse Choir. Young people from our Young Creative Lighthouse programme also performed and our Buttons and Bobbins community group ran a hugely popular 'pimp my jeans' stall demonstrating their creative skills upcycling clothing.

We were pleased to welcome the Lord Mayor, Lady Mayoress and Lord Lieutenant to enjoy the fun and honour 70 years of service by Her Majesty the Queen.
