Helping through 'check in and chat', food and flower deliveries

Liverpool Lighthouse is going above and beyond to reach those who are lonely and isolated, through their helpline, food packages and flower deliveries.

We've been touching base with members of the community generally for a catch up and although we have some members of the community who may not be in need for food or advice, flowers always brighten up a day!

We've been online taking calls through our helpline for those who need someone for advice and a listening ear. We also have a bereavement councilor on the end of the line ready to take your call between 1pm - 2pm Monday to Friday too.

We are providing food and have a delivery schedule where we're dropping off to the community along with holding a food bank stall on Thursdays. Sarah, our venue manager, is in charge of this project with the help of other members of staff that carry fresh produce to those who are at high risk and in need.

Our newest project in hand with all of the above is delivering flowers to those who are not in need of food for their household but would benefit from something to brighten up their day.

Liverpool Lighthouse is eager to meet the needs of the community as much as possible, to ensure that although we're in isolation , community members don't feel alone.
