Kai Jolley

Experienced in writing, directing & editing, Kai Jolley is an award winning filmmaker. Kai continues to explore storytelling through all forms of media.

 

Writer/Producer/Actor of the award winning short film, 'Coming Out' part of LCR Pride's Film with Pride.

Writer/Producer of 'A Fairytale Journey Across The Mersey', 'This Skin of Mine', 'Goldilocks and the Fab 4' & 'Finding Lever: Sunlight of Congo’ which have been seen at venues across Merseyside including at The Bombed Out Church as part of Liverpool Theatre Festival, Little LTF, Unity Theatre as part of Blackfest, The Lock & Quay and The Gladstone Theatre in Port Sunlight.

Previous acting work includes, Aladdin at St. Helens Theatre Royal, To Kill a Mockingbird and ITILY.

Previous crew positions on, The Amazing Race Canada, 12 Monkeys, The Ruby Slippers and The Pride!

Training includes theatre and music at Providence College, Acting and The Business of Acting at the Academy of Acting, and Film Production at Toronto Film School.

Kai is the director and founder of Liverpool Film Initiative an independent full service video production company made up of a diverse group of local talent across the North West of England.

Kai wants to give special thanks to a great man who was a major influence, not only in Kai Jolley's professional career but in his personal life, Henry Schellenberg (Feb. 20th 2013).

Liverpool lighthouse is supporting Kai with producer expertise and to develop a plan for several of his on-going projects as a theatre-maker.
