OPEN ACCESS VOCAL COACHING 

Are you a singer looking to improve your vocal technique and grow in confidence?

Are you a church, gospel choir or group looking to develop your team of singers?

Led by award-winning choir director and vocal coach Anu Omideyi, open access vocal coaching sessions will take place at Liverpool Lighthouse, Anfield, from SEPTEMBER 2022

VOCAL COACHING SESSIONS WILL INCLUDE

  • Learning healthy, effective and efficient breathing techniques

  • Understanding the relevant anatomy for good singing

  • Health, hydration, exercise and well-being as important factors of good singing

  • Learning warm up and cool down exercises

  • Learning and understanding the proper use of vocal registers

  • Learning vocal techniques such as shaping sounds, placement, blending, developing tones

  • Ear-training with accuracy

  • Understanding, replicating and creating harmonies

  • Developing a basic understanding of music theory

  • Performing with confidence and understanding of what is required technically for different audiences, sacred and secular.

Anu is an off-screen judge for BBC's Gospel Choir of the Year, official vocal coach for University Gospel Choir of the Year and former director of multi-award winning The Reapers Choir (finalists at the BBC Gospel Choir of the Year), Anu has coached many choirs, worship teams and individuals and is in high demand with a waiting list. She is currently the Music Director at Liverpool Lighthouse and is a board member of the Gospel Music Industry Alliance. She is working on the development of the Liverpool Gospel Music Festival which is planned to be the largest UK gospel music festival, aiming to launch in 2023
