Liverpool Lighthouse is now providing counselling sessions every Thursdays from 10am to 4pm and below we have put together the reasons why people take counselling and how it helps.
If an individual is going through situations such as:
An eating disorder
Going through a traumatic time
Going through sad and upsetting time
Counselling can help people deal with the circumstances they are perhaps ashamed to talk to a friend or family member.
Our counselor will help individuals:
Make sense of things
Understand the situation they are going through or themselves better
By not judge you
Understand complicated feelings
Recognize unhelpful/unhealthy patterns in the way you think or act
Find ways to change such patterns
Better express and manage their emotions, including anger
Relief from depression, anxiety or other mental health conditions
