Have yourself a “Low Carbon Christmas”

We are inviting all our members to our Low Carbon Christmas Open Meeting on Wednesday 28 November at Liverpool Lighthouse, Oakfield Road, Anfield, Liverpool at 12 noon to 2.30pm.

There will be an opportunity to attend workshops and find out how you and your organisation can reduce  your carbon footprint.

You’ll also have the chance to network with other members, to browse stalls with lots of useful information and to enjoy some locally produced food and drink. If you are interested in attending our event please complete and return the attached booking form before Wednesday 31 October 2007. Stalls will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

If you do not book a stall, please feel free to bring with you your organisation’s publicity material, leaflets, business cards etc.

Liverpool Lighthouse is running three main activities designed to provide training in tourist related activities. Each placement will be for 20 weeks at 15 hours/week.

Hospitality team will use the excellent facilities at Bistro Light to provide hospitality training to prepare international menus to meet demand of customer profile, hosting peculiar groups such as ‘coach tours’ and catering for conferences and events.

Events management team will organize events in 2007 and 2008 year, and will get practical training organizing scheduled events in that time.

Venue management team will be responsible to manage day-to-day facilitation of events like technical equipment (lighting and sound), operating a box office system and participate will all aspects of venue.

Alternatively you can always help us as a volunteer in all areas described above flexibly.

All of these trainings also include Health & Safety, First Aid, Customer Service and IT.

It’s a great chance to gain some experience and qualifications in these areas and also make friends.
