Children's musical brings Christmas cheer to Anfield
Christmas is fast approaching and while the snow may have melted (for now), things are still feeling decidedly festive at Liverpool Lighthouse. We’ve got several Christmas events lined up over the next few weeks and we kicked things off last weekend with our children’s musical, The Heart of Christmas.
The show, which was a part of Liverpool City Council’s Year of Health and Wellbeing, was all about keeping your heart healthy and featured a variety of original songs which focused on the Council’s “Five Ways To Wellbeing” such as “Be Active” and “Keep Learning”. It starred a group of children from the local area who had been working with music and dance facilitators since September. The show took place on Friday 3rd December in Kings Hall, playing to a packed out audience of parents, friends and Lighthouse staff.

As well as the musical itself, the audience was also treated to a variety of Christmas and pop songs sung by choirs from Anfield Juniors School, Leamington Primary School and Pinehurst Primary School. The evening ended with an exciting dance performance from Got To Dance finalists, Dynamix.
We have a variety of ticketed and free events coming up over the Christmas period; be sure to check the Box Office area of our website for more information.
